GMRR Day 7 - Clarksdale, MS to Senatobia, MS

The link to today's route and ride statistics is here.

We started today continuing in delta farm country.  I won't bore you with another photo of corn or plowed fields, because they look the same as the last couple of days.

I thought today's ride was very nice.  The roads were generally in decent shape, the temperature was perfect, so the only thing that could have been improved was the unnecessary headwind for much of the journey.  There was not a lot of things I wanted to photograph today.  I did like the shot up what I believe was the Coldwater River when we crossed.

About 41 miles in to the ride, we went through the small town of Crenshaw.  Overall, it is a pretty impoverished looking place, but there were some nice homes as we were leaving town.  I took a shot of one I know my wife will like (she loves porches).

Once we left Crenshaw, we left the incredibly flat land we had been on in delta country.  The area had quite a different feel to it. I took a picture trying to show that the road actually had some slight rollers.  They don't show real well, but they were a nice change of pace.

You will also notice in the following shot that we had a little more wooded road to ride along.  As a result, I though we had a lovely ride.

Tomorrow we will ride in to Memphis.  This will put us back on the river.  If you checked today's route, you will see we were somewhat removed from it.  We will also have a day off on Wednesday to do a little sightseeing in the Memphis area.  I will spend most of the day with my cousin Nancy Lange and her husband.  Should be fun.
